Our client is a Design and Property Consultancy based in Ipswich. They are looking to recruit an Associate Electrical Engineer to join their busy and growing team. Your job will be to oversee the Electrical Engineer function, as a member of the leadership team.

As an Associate Electrical Engineer your role will involve:

  • Management of and accountability for the Electrical Engineer team in Ipswich, supporting the business, team and colleagues to achieve maximum potential
  • Oversee the delivery of Schemes to time, budget and quality measures
  • Lead the Electrical Engineer team effectively with adherence to commercial performance to achieve required outputs and targets
  • Support the Associate Directors, Directors and Group Directors, linking effectively and proactively with other teams within the group
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Design and Property matters across the group
  • Work proactively and flexibly to support delivery across the professional services, with a commercial and solution-focused mindset
  • Liaise with clients and other parties to support the development of new business opportunities and the management of existing clients and accounts
  • Contribute to the operation and the development of the QMS, to ensure continuous improvement of quality assured services to clients
  • Assessing the Health and Safety impact and risks connected to design decisions
  • Monitoring and inspecting work that are undertaken by contractors

To be considered for the Associate Electrical Engineer role you must have:

  • Degree in Building Services & ideally MCIBSE and or MEIT status
  • Experience in professional aspects of building services competencies including energy conservation and sustainability matters
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations with an understanding of planning legislation and health and safety
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design and property matters
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and specialist design packages
  • Strong experience in managing Design and Property projects and teams across a multiple client bases, sectors and contracts
  • Previous experience in an Electrical Engineering role

Working hours:

As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you’ll be required to work full time, Monday to Friday.
