Our client a well respected and growing Design and Property Consultants are recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join the team in Ipswich.
As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer your role will involve:
- To specify and design electrical building services and to manage compliance and quality of installations
- The full design and specification of compliant electrical building services including power distribution, lighting, alarm, data/telecommunications, telemetry systems
- Lighting design using industry standard software and methods
- Producing industry standard tender packages, undertaking analysis of tenders, monitoring and management of cost, quality and timescales
- Undertake site surveys, site visits and associated inspections according to standard project/industry procedures or as the project requires
- Enable integration and coordination of information within the information model
- Maintain and receive information into the information model
- Configure information for project outputs
- Populate the information exchange format for the information model
- Assure delivery of information exchanges
To be considered for the Intermediate Electrical Engineer role you must have:
- At least five years’ experience working in consultancy practice or for a large contractor in a design capacity.
- Up to date knowledge of relevant Building Regulations and standards for electrical installations.
- HNC/HND in a relevant discipline.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
Working hours:
As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, you’ll be required to work full time Monday to Friday. My client is offering flexible working hours and a 70/30% working from home split.
