Our client, a Specialist Construction company in Bishops Stortford is looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their evolving team. This role is especially suited to a candidate who has experience within the Public Sector on refurbishment projects. The company have an abundance of things happening for 2022 to include some multi-million-pound projects and has been nominated for 2 awards.
As an Estimator your role will involve the following:
- Undertake the preparation of tenders and bid proposals allocated by the Procurement Manager for presentation to the senior management team.
- Provide all information necessary for inclusion within the written bid submission.
- Liaise with the Operations Manager to ensure all necessary information is provided for the contracts team once site works begin.
- Attend pre-contract handover meetings, all necessary bid meetings and client meetings as requested throughout the tender process.
- Working on refurbishments projects for jobs within the public sector ranging from £400k - to £1m
To be considered for the Estimator role you must have:
- You will have a proven track record of producing the commercial pack for large contractor tender submissions
- Knowledge of the public sector
- You will have strong experience in pricing JCT contracts.
- Understanding of various forms of Procurement Processes.
- Knowledge of system estimating software
- Preparation of notes and clarifications for tender submissions
- Demonstrate ability in the pricing of tender Preliminaries
- Ability to self-manage the administration and Electronic filing of tender paperwork
- Stable career history
Working hours:
As an Estimator, you’ll be required to work full time, Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm.
