Our client an established, well-respected agency are looking for a dynamic and conscientious candidate to oversee the Lettings department in the Oxford City office. This is a full-time position for a motivated individual that is eager to learn. The ideal candidate will add to the existing positive, supportive, and dynamic team at the Oxford City branch and will live locally in the area.

Key Duties & Responsibilities for the role of a Lettings Manager:

The main purpose of the role is to manage the lettings department day to day, leading and motivating your team (a team of two) as well as maximising the overall performance of the department. We are looking for someone that can hit the ground running, achieving fantastic results.

  • Day to day management of the department.
  • Responsible for the overall performance of the department.
  • Coordinating, implementing, and optimising all processes.
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with landlords/property owners understanding individual requirements.
  • Meeting new, existing clients, and carrying out property valuations to a high standard with an understanding the local market.
  • Seeking new business opportunities.
  • Keeping up with legislation changes ensuring all processes and documents are compliant
  • Demonstrating high standards of professionalism and always providing a first-class level of customer service.
  • Letting’s administration includes carrying out right to rent checks, tenant referencing, preparing tenancy agreements and other associated paperwork.
  • Management of an effective applicant database, ensuring regular contact is made with all prospective clients regularly.
  • Liaise with property owners with interior design improvements and ensure the property is marketed to its full potential.
  • Negotiating tenancy terms for new tenancies and renewals.
  • Registering new tenants and matching appropriate tenants to properties on and off-market
  • Arranging and attending property viewings with effective diary management.
  • Liaising with other departments and offices to ensure excellent communication and sharing of clients, utilising all business opportunities.
  • Source and build relationships with external contractors or third-party resources when required.

Skills/attributes needed for the role of a Lettings Manager:

  • Previous experience working in the residential lettings industry

Salary/Package:

  • Basic £26,000 - £28,000

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday 8:45 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Friday 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on a scheduled rota (currently 1 in 4).
