Our clients, a Property Management company based in Edinburgh, are currently recruiting for a Refurbishment Manager to join their expanding team. You will be based from the Edinburgh office, however, the role may require the odd bit of travel to other locations.

As a Refurbishment Manager your role will involve:

  • Visiting and assessing properties to evaluate improvements required, including EPC rating
  • Looking at ways to improve EPC rating for properties (to ensure D rating or higher) and making recommendations including upgrades to a heating system, boiler replacement or other appliances, window replacement or upgrade, insulation, lightbulbs
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation and compliance with residential property improvements
  • Obtaining quotes and completing tenders for small works jobs
  • Liaising with the local Council regarding intended works to be carried out
  • Compiling reports using video and photographic evidence where required
  • Reporting issues and observations to Projects Team and Property Management Team
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation and compliance with residential property improvements

To be considered for the Refurbishment Manager role you must have:

  • Experience in the areas of construction, renovations and project management
  • Knowledge of the requirements for Energy Performance Certification
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a pressurised environment.
  • Client-focused, professional with the requisite skills to establish and maintain relationships.
  • Full driving licence (maximum of 3 points)

Working hours for Refurbishment Manager

  • Monday – Friday with full-time hours either: (8:00 am – 5:00 pm), (8:30 am – 5:30 pm) (9:00 am – 6:00 pm) which includes 1-hour unpaid breaks.
  • You will be required to work 1 Saturday a month on a rota basis 8:30 am – 1:30 pm.

Salary/Package for Refurbishment Manager

  • £28,000 - £36,000 DOE
  • There is a £1000 pay increase upon achieving all 4 ARLA exams
  • Pension scheme after 3 months of which contributions are matched by the company up to 5% of the salary
  • Company health insurance after 6 months
  • 28 days paid holiday including all Bank Holidays. Plus 3 additional personal/wellbeing days per year.
