My client, an award-winning multiple-office design firm who works with prestigious brands from the worlds of retail and hospitality is currently looking to expand its team within their Dubai office.
They are looking for a Project Architect to join their team with a minimum of 3 years of experience to work on projects that include large-scale luxury hospitality interiors and high-end residential buildings located around the world.
To be considered for the Project Architect role you must have:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in mixed-used, retail, residential or hospitality projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- Able to analyze complex problems, identify innovative solutions, and address challenges that may arise during the design and construction process
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit or other similar tools is essential. Familiarity with graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Project Architect responsibilities:
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Contribute to the development of the project scope, schedule, and budget
- Lead the design development process, translating concepts into detailed architectural designs
- Ensure that the design aligns with building codes, regulations, and standards, as well as industry best practices
- Manage project budgets and resources, including tracking expenses, preparing cost estimates, and managing change orders
- Monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion and make adjustments as necessary
- Coordinate and integrate various design elements to ensure consistency and coherence
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, both internal and external, to maintain project goals and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise
- Oversee the construction phase of the project. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, review quality, and ensure compliance with design intent and specifications
- Address and resolve design-related issues that may arise during construction
- Respond to RFIs from contractors, provide clarifications, and make necessary modifications to the design documentation
- Ensure the quality and integrity of the project by conducting thorough reviews and inspections. Monitor compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, issues, and deviations from the project plan
- Implement effective risk management strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful project delivery
