Are you an experienced Master Planner who is looking to join a global design firm that values its employees' well-being and longevity?

We are looking for a Senior Master Planner with at least 7 years of experience to join our clients' Dubai office where the successful individual will have the opportunity to work on interesting and award-winning projects across wide-ranging typologies.

This position will see the successful individual be a key member of the Master Planning / Urban Design Team and provide high-calibre services. While supporting and working closely with the Department Head in developing master plan projects, goals, and strategies. In addition to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including urban designers, landscape architects, engineers, and other professionals, to develop comprehensive design solutions.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 5.30 pm
  • Working from home is also possible on some days

The successful Senior Master Planner will be offered:

  • 25,000 – 35,000 AED (depending on experience)

To be considered for the Senior Master Planner role you must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning / Urban Design or Architecture
  • At least 7 years experience in a similar role 
  • Experience working on GCC projects
  • Excellent hand drawing or sketching skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, GIS, AutoCAD, BIM / Revit, SketchUp, Rhino or other 3D modelling and visualization tools
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings and documentation.
  • Strong presentation and graphic design skills with the ability to present design ideas convincingly
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-driven individual and team player

As a Senior Master Planner, your role will involve:

  • Assistance in setting the initial framework of the master plan through a land use plan, in response to the Client’s project brief
  • Assistance in conducting test-fits and scale comparison studies to understand the spatial framework of the master plan
  • Responsible for taking a masterplan vision forward, covering heavy involvement in Pre-Concept Masterplan, Concept Masterplan and Detailed Masterplan Stages
  • Provide detailed and technical reviews of master plan developments in alignment with infrastructure requirements, engineering procedures and contribute to the detailed design and layout for project components/facilities
  • Will be responsible for the management and coordination of Master Planning & Design Tasks in parallel with Landscape Design/Public Realm Design/Signage and Lighting Design
  • Ability to provide high-level reviews on Placemaking / Landscape Design / Public Realm packages at Concept Masterplan – Detailed Masterplan Stages
  • Providing sketches/drawings to provide interim solutions at PCMP and CMP stages
  • Ensure technical deliverables are accurate and well-organized
  • Conduct thorough site analysis - Evaluate site constraints and opportunities to inform the design development process
  • Present design ideas through compelling graphics, visuals, and presentations
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals. Understand and apply urban planning policies, zoning regulations, building codes, and sustainability standards in the design process
  • Ensure compliance with local and national planning guidelines
  • Engage with clients to understand their goals, requirements, and expectations. Communicate proposed solutions effectively and address client feedback throughout the design process
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project implementation
