This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation in a varied Estates Manager role. You’ll be responsible for overseeing property maintenance, managing suppliers, interpreting leases, and coordinating with internal teams,  all while enjoying a strong support structure and hybrid working options.

Our client is also open to considering experienced Property Managers who are looking to transition into Estates Management.

The successful Estates Manager will be offered:

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Estates, you’ll play a key role in managing a diverse property portfolio. As an Estates Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Property Maintenance & Repairs - Liaising with contractors and landlords to oversee maintenance and repair projects, including sourcing quotes and managing progress.
  • Lease Interpretation - Understanding and applying lease terms such as repair obligations, access rights, and ensuring charges comply with lease provisions.
  • Supplier & Agent Management - Coordinating with a range of third parties, including security contractors and agents marketing surplus premises.
  • Departmental Administration - Supporting day-to-day operations through appointment scheduling, digital filing, and post management.
  • Invoice & Payment Support - Processing invoices, handling service charges and business rates, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Business Rates Queries - Engaging with local authorities to clarify billing discrepancies or explore available grants.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration - Working closely with teams such as Finance, Facilities, and IT to coordinate building repairs, installations, or payments.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Highly reliable, with a strong work ethic
  • Property or estate management background is a must
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to self-organise
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident interacting with colleagues, suppliers, and external contacts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and the wider Office suite
  • Full UK driving licence is essential due to regular site visits
