We're recruiting for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join a highly reputable and well-established surveying practice based in Devon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor seeking a varied workload across both residential and commercial projects, with the flexibility of hybrid working and strong administrative support.

The Role

As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will:

  • Carry out Level 2 Home Surveys and, ideally, Level 3 Building Surveys
  • Undertake a mix of residential and commercial surveying work
  • Prepare detailed and professional survey reports
  • Handle dilapidations instructions and associated reporting
  • Conduct expert witness reports where required
  • Manage party wall matters and related consultancy work
  • Deliver high-quality advice and service across all instructions

Chartered Building Surveyor Requirements

  • Ideally, MRICS or FRICS qualified
  • Surveyors currently working towards APC accreditation will also be considered
  • Proven experience carrying out Level 2 Building Surveys
  • Experience with Level 3 Surveys preferred
  • Knowledge of dilapidations and project work advantageous
  • Strong report-writing and technical surveying skills
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
